Sound Bath Meditation Geneva, Il
Serving Geneva, St. Charles, Batavia, South Elgin, and Fox Valley.
A space to rest, restore, and reconnect
At Valley Acupuncture, we believe in creating space for stillness, presence, and deep rest—because healing isn’t always about adding another treatment. Sometimes it’s about giving the body and nervous system the opportunity to soften and settle.
Sound healing (aka a sound bath) offers a unique way to support that process. Through vibration, rhythm, and resonance, sound can help quiet the mind, release tension, and encourage the nervous system to shift out of stress and into a deeper state of relaxation.
At Valley Acupuncture Health Solutions, we offer sound healing experiences in downtown Geneva, IL as an invitation to slow down, receive, and reconnect with yourself
What is a sound bath meditation and how does sound healing work?
A sound bath meditation is an opportunity for deep restorative rest. You'll lie comfortably on a yoga mat or a zero-gravity lounge chair with blankets and pillows, immersed in the soothing sounds and vibrations of crystal singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, multiple gongs, chimes, rain sticks, a lap harp, and other beautiful tools and instruments.
Each sound healing instrument has its own unique voice and vibration. Some produce deeper, grounding tones that help quiet the mind and relax the nervous system, while others create lighter, more ethereal sounds that encourage a sense of openness, clarity, and peace. These sound frequencies, layered intentionally alternate between resonant and airy tones, so that no single instrument overpowers another.
Every sound bath is designed as a complete journey, weaving together guided meditation, breathwork, visualization, and sound healing frequencies.
Benefits of sound healing: what it can help with
Sound healing offers a welcoming space to pause, breathe, and restore. Many clients use their sound bath meditation sessions simply as dedicated time to care for themselves, while others come specifically for support with:
Stress and anxiety
Slower, harmonious sounds signal to the brain that it is safe to relax, helping to ease a nervous system stuck in survival mode.
Calming sound and rhythmic vibration may help activate the parasympathetic nervous system, our rest and digest response, allowing heart rate to slow, muscles to relax, and the tension of daily life to finally let go.
Grief, burnout, and life transitions
Grief, major life transitions, and burnout all find room to move during a session designed to support the mind, body, and nervous system as one.
For those navigating demanding seasons of life, sound healing offers permission to rest without needing to earn it.
Sleep and mental clarity
Many clients notice they sleep better in the days following a sound bath, along with feeling lighter, calmer, and more mentally clear.
Mindfulness and relaxation
Even without prior meditation experience, the guided format makes mindfulness accessible to everyone, offering dedicated time to simply slow down and reconnect with yourself.
Ready to rest, restore, and reconnect?
In a world that constantly asks us to do more, sound healing offers permission to slow down, breathe deeply, and simply rest.

Meet our sound healer in Geneva, IL
Ali Gaynor
Sound Healing, Guided Meditation, and Nervous System Support
Ali's path to sound healing began with a long personal experience of anxiety and a nervous system that often felt stuck in survival mode.
While western medicine helped in some ways, she wanted to understand her body on a deeper level and find more holistic ways to support healing. That search led her to yoga therapy, meditation, breathwork, and eventually sound healing.
During her first sound bath, she felt something shift, one of the few times her mind truly became quiet and her body fully relaxed. She knew she wanted to share that experience with others.
Ali has offered sound healing since 2021, and her approach has continued to evolve as she has gained experience with each instrument and with people from all walks of life. What began as simply creating a relaxing sound bath has grown into a complete, intentionally designed journey.
She spends time developing guided meditations inspired by nature, the changing seasons, and lunar cycles, creating immersive experiences that help each person connect more deeply with themselves.
Rather than a passive listening experience, Ali invites participants into a full journey that combines meditation, visualization, breathwork, and carefully layered sound frequencies.
